Doing my job I discovered a hospital is billing a 220% markup on ibuprofen. Specifically they’re billing $47,114.04 for 712 600 mg tablets. The Average Wholesale Price for one tablet is $0.30. Insurance is paying almost 64% ($30,120.01). US healthcare is broken.
