Don't know how far I'll actually take this, but playing classic RE1 and 2 made me want to tinker with blending pre-rendered environments and real-time game objects. I just got an incredibly basic implementation of it up and running in Godot.

I got a working 8mm movie camera for $15 at a thrift store today. I won't know for a long while if there are any issues though since I have to get film and then have it developed, but still pretty a cool find! It can even take single shots which is perfect for what i wanted to do with one of these.

In today's installment of "Mimi picks up another new hobby:" I typeset, printed, and bound an ebook I have. I'm trying to stop spending a lot of money on every new hobby so I used mostly materials and tools I already had on hand. I'm really pleased with how well it turned out as a first attempt!
