Front cover of Anna’s Tavern, A Guide To Adventuring, a DnD 5e Fire Emblem supplement. In middle table there’s original design Anna DMing, with some well-known FE lords sitting with her. There’s too many characters don’t make me describe this please. There’s also a Diluc genshin impact somewhere as an Easter egg.

The entirety of iDOLiSH7 cast, drawn as a zine cover for Song Zine Vol.X. They’re all grabbing lightsticks and passing them as batons to the next one in line, on numerical order. They’re organized by group, wearing that year’s anniversary clothes, representing the anniversary song. Rainbow colors, high contrast and lots of smiles.

I'm being unprofessional in the discord right now (because I'm tired) but I don't think this is helping the situation at all

discord message from artfol dev "I'm open to hearing your thoughts, we partnered with the organisation behind the contest because (frankly) advertising revenue is important to keeping Artfol running,

I am aware of the contest's connection to Scientology and looked into it before we agreed to the partnership. From what I found, the contest itself does appear to provide genuine opportunities and visibility for artists, and I didn't find evidence that participating in the contest itself was a recruitment effort for Scientology.

That said, I completely understand why people are uncomfortable with the association, and I don't want to dismiss those concerns. We may have missed the mark here, and we'll definitely take another look at the partnership."

Genuinely, this completely rules

－Recently, the game has been going viral on X for its beautiful undressing animations. I’ve even read in one of your previous interviews that the development team practiced stripping themselves as reference for the undressing animations. What was the process behind making the animations actually like?

Matsui:

I’d love to know how far that story has spread. It’s true.

First, we write a plot for each undressing scene, then draw storyboards, exactly as the original team did. Then the real work begins, because the animation is essentially all keyed by hand. A designer moves the clothing’s 3D model, frame by frame, manually. It really is pretty much like the claymation method I mentioned.

We did try automating it with physics simulation first, but it was a total failure. The cloth moved in a physically correct way, but had absolutely no allure. We learned a profound lesson: accuracy and sensuality are two unrelated properties. In the end, we accepted that humans would have to do all of it.

Then VR adds its own weight. In a normal game, if something becomes awkward, you can cut away or swap models between scenes. In VR, the player can look from any angle at any time, so none of those tricks are available. The same model has to undress convincingly no matter where you’re standing. When I described this to a designer at another studio, he said, “I would never do that.” I’ve chosen to take it as a compliment.

And then, yes, the part you’ve read about. The undressing motions themselves use motion capture, but the deeper problem was that nobody actually knew the correct rhythm and order in which a person takes off clothes. So, the directors gathered and undressed themselves as reference. “That zipper is coming down too fast.” “She’d pause once before slipping her shoulder out.” These were serious, sober discussions. For compliance reasons, the Super Real Mahjong Venus Returns team works in a walled-off section of our office – and that was the moment those walls truly earned their keep.

Artists are allowed to make fucked up upsetting art. You are allowed to block them if it bothers or triggers you. You are not allowed to demand that transgressive art never exist. Especially when the artists are marginalized or queer and already have society trying to erase them.

I’m glad to see you too. #AlhyaBlahaj

A picture of Alhya, standing some distance in front of the viewer and staring at the scenery. The character is placed in front of a snowy landscape, mountains far in the horizon. The early morning sun is situated in front of the Miqo’te’s figure, giving them a divine aura. A thin, while halo surrounds the Miqo’te.

$A alternate angle of the scene described in the previous picture, now from much closer up. This time, Alhya is turned halfway towards the viewer, staring at them with a mildly shocked expression. The mountains aren’t visible anymore, eclipsed by the bright sun’s light. Some of the refraction coming from the sun is also hiding part of Alhya’s figure.$ A alternate angle of the scene described in the previous picture. Alhya is now properly facing the viewer, a hand lifted to wave to the viewer. They are smiling softly.

My really popular barebones RSS comic from November 2022! I hope it helps you stay updated with your favourite webcomics, artists and websites. I’m just a simple guy who’s passionate about RSS feeds, comics and staying updated using both. Go forth and make the feed of your dreams! #Art #Comic #RSS

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1: You might've seen this icon before. It's the RSS icon. But what is RSS? RSS is an update feed for a website. Every time the site publishes a post, article, comic page, etc. the feed is updated. Most websites have a RSS feed. Panel 2: You'll usually find it in a site's menu. It might also be on a sidebar or the footer. Panel 3: But if I click on it it's just a bunch of code! What gives? What am I supposed to do with it?! Panel 4: This is where you'll need a feed reader like feedly!

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1: One, on Feedly click the follow button. Two, copy the URL from the site's RSS button and add it to the search box. Panel 2: Three, this will bring up the feed for the site. Four, Add it by clicking the follow button. You can also search the name of the site without the RSS link but it's more accurate if you have the link. Panel 3: Add the new feed to a folder. Panel 4: Now the feed will appear on your Feedly when it updates! Panel 5: What I did was get the Feedly add-on for my browser. So every time a site I follow updates the extension lets me know! Panel 6: Clicking the title of the update opens the site in a new tab. I personally like seeing content on it's own site. But you can set everything up so you only ever need to open Feedly.

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1:If you run a site make sure your RSS button is easily accessible. The URL will usually be something like yoursite.com/feed or yoursite.com/rss. Panel 2: Be sure to follow your own RSS feeds to make sure they're updating properly. This way if it goes down for whatever reason you'll be able to catch the problem before your readers miss too many updates. Panel 3: And that's all there is to it! It's very customizable so play around with it to see what works for you! Panel 4: No fuss. No algorithms. Just the updates you choose to see! Hey! My favourite comic updated!

People really need to fucking re-learn the difference between "I don't like this" and "This is harmful". Not liking a thing is fine, but you don't get to dictate what others enjoy, actually. Especially not within fiction. Be an adult. If you don't like something, move on.
