It hurts my brain to see Brits do their polite,non-confrontational thing about Russia&Brexit. We know through actual facts and evidence that Putin did it.He's not even trying to hide it, is he? Could we just for once confront and move on please? Yes, I know it's not quite nice. But pleeeeease.

I want to see empty exhibits in British museums, that contain only the story about what they once contained, and why they had to be sent home. The space would be no less profound for me www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I'm not particularly afraid of spiders but we always meet in startling circumstances. Like one of them ending up in the narrow space between my glasses and my eye. Neither one of us behaved gracefully.

Almost walked out,but too curious to see if the end could salvage something.Fine to do new adaptations, but if u completely destroy original premise: strict social norms for behaviour, the original message will no longer work and you'd need to come up with a different meaning, which they didn't.

I did not enjoy the new Sense and Sensibility. To the extent that I feel slightly dirty* after having seen it. For example, Elinor was almost as moody as Marianne, which rather collapses the entire premise. (*Everyone and everything in it looks unwashed, which may explain the feeling.)

I wondered about this too but apparently drug companies and healthcare professionals refuse to aid in death penalties so they have to get the drugs from sketchy sources and the person administering is not someone who habitually knows how to find and inject into a vein.

Why wasn't I told before that this exists? Why is mainstream media covering this up? Too afraid of true magnificence. (No, I haven't seen it. The poster, the concept alone put this at top of human achievements.)

💯 "should I do more laundry? Well it'll dry in a couple of hours outside", is a terrifying thought for end of September London. That drying rack needs to be obstructing my living room for a week (or the next eight months).

More news headlines should be as clear and direct though. "Billionaire man says AI will eat you", "Billionaire man warns of poor people stealing your money", "Billionaire man in favour of climate change" and so on and so forth.

It's especially insane and cowardly since none of these people can hurt him. They can't impoverish him, or make him homeless or hungry. What is the point of "fuck you" money if you never say "fuck you" to shitty people

Have to say that when moving to UK I was appalled at how absolutely shit induction is in every job. There's a complete reluctance to provide clear instructions, guidance and expectations to new employees. As an experienced adult, one can get by, but wouldn't want to have started my career here.

Had a taxi ride in Crete with the English, and no one said anything and I was so pleased we could all just quietly and comfortably admire the scenery together.Turned out they felt very car sick on the twisting, winding roads and felt guilty about not having kept up the small talk.🥲

"Access" to creativity and "production" of creativity are not the same. If you use AI to help open up and access your own creativity, fine. If you use AI to "produce", you are not using *your* creativity, you are not experiencing the joy of unlocking *your* creativity. I don't see the point of it.
