🚨Lafarge in Syria: trial verdict to be announced today at 10am – nearly a decade after ECCHR, @asso-sherpa.bsky.social & former Syrian employees first filed the case. End of last year, the multinational #Lafarge and several of its former top executives stood trial in Paris for financing terrorism.
“Lafarge has put the lives of its Syrian employees at risk in the name of profit. This case illustrates the profound impact that decisions made in a company’s financial interests can have on human rights and underscores the ongoing need to fight for corporate accountability.”
