Gyms for ours brain :-) :-) - what about coding without the help of LLM-based copilots? It's free, no need to build new facilities ...

Have you noticed that most former Agile coaches are now AI coaches? Make of that what you will. 😅

Fable restricted by the EU. More info here www.linkedin.com/feed/update/... . Yeah, I know it is a coincidence, but funny, is it not?

Hey #fsharp sky! We have an upcoming role for a dev working at tradekart.com. Full-Stack, with strong FE skills. We have some react apps, but will probably be looking to build some stuff in HTMX (or similar tech) in next few months. DM me for more details, please repost for reach.

Learning Rust. Looks like someone took functional and procedural F# or Haskell and transmuted it with the C-like syntax while using the Malbolge paradigm (making everything as convoluted as humanly possible) into a new language difficult as hell.

F# folk - I'm having some success using GitHub Agentic Workflows to automate some backlog maintenance work in some older F# community repos. FSharp.Data: github.com/fsprojects/F... FSharp.Control.AsyncSeq: github.com/fsprojects/F... It's helping me re-engage with the repos and clean things up.

Always fascinating to see how people react when you point out the advantages of using #fsharp over #csharp lnkd.in/p/e6HTQdDM

Today I had to write #csharp again – and I’m still shocked at what a - please excuse - dumb language it still is. Yet I keep reading and hearing people say things like: “C# feels more and more like F...

This is the single best piece I've read on "replacing coders with AI," it fully dispells the myth from the perspective of a software engineer and does so in a calm, reasonable way. colton.dev/blog/curing-...

Before LLMs, the answer to everything was '42'. Now, it's 'You have reached your free plan limit.'

Long away from desktop dev, I asked ChatGPT what the .NET situation is like now. Got a list of technologies with notes—surprisingly even for F#. Note on Elmish.WPF: "Elegant for those avoiding OOP and MVVM mess." Evidently, the training data is improving. 😀

Nudged by a lecture on building an LLM from scratch with TorchSharp, I started coding one in F#. A GPT-2-like model ran fine on my PC, but aiming for GPT-4-like model to be competitive? My PC squealed after RMSNorm & RPE, then flatlined at warmup/cosine decay. Another biz idea gone. 🙃
