I kind of feel like the median online vibe views using gen-ai for translation as somehow more acceptable than using it for art assets or code and I cannot find a moral or ethical justification for that to be true from any angle that makes sense to me.

A disclosure like this doesn't say "I didn't use Gen Ai on anything that matters don't worry" like you think it does, it actually says "I don't respect translators and nobody else does either so I can get away with this much right?" which, frankly, does NOT make me believe its all you used it for.
