It seems I could make some massive health strides if I just conquered two of my biggest fears—exercising even a little bit and not drinking myself to sleep each night.

Bhacán the banshee was 19 years old when she drowned on her wedding night. Since then she has forecast the deaths of recent nuptials.

I gain and lose followers on Bluesky not at the same rate I did on Instagram, then again I don't quite have the same scale 💸

Back cover sketch for Eunice, featuring her side characters. The smudges and dots should provide a good antique feel when it's done.

I take a LOT of photos. So much so that I've had to dispense with piddling cloud storage and backup all my photos to actual physical storage. Which would be fine, if the ⛈️@#💥 thumb drive didn't summarily crash when I access it🤦🏻‍♀️

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”

APStylebook @APStylebook

Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.

Have you ever noticed how with a little finessing, one year's #inktober can very easily be converted to a serviceable #kinktober? Here's my take:

Universal Basic income isn’t redistribution at all. It’s payment for an essential input. The AI companies wrote a few lines of code. The rest of us created all the world’s knowledge that those models consumed. They never paid for it, because they stole it. People who steal pay restitution & damages.

Why is Trump turning DC into a military installation? Both his ballroom and arch are now supposed to feature weapons. What are those weapons for? Who will they target? Who will be doing the targeting? If it's for snipers it would have to be for sniping at U.S. citizens protesting.

When you consider I remember the "stagflation" of the 1970s... and this isn't nearly as bad by any objective measure... this really shows just how utterly loathed Trump is. It's not just everything costs more, it's that it's easily and directly pinned to explicit actions Trump made.

Take this from a Labour voter in the last General Election. When the leader didn't sign onto the "we will protect Trans people pledge" what happens - I am legally banned from public toilets now because of labour, trans youth are on conversation therapy and the they are stopping adult surgeries.

Made one more mess of this girl's design before wising up and studying bird physiology. Passive gliding (I think?) is the shape I want, and that means feathers going all down her obliques.

Tangential to Muriel, Melody, and Eunice is Hypatia the harpy. Bird wings are a biological form I struggle with (so many feathers!) and I'd be tempted to give her gull wings if the matching feet weren't so inappropriate for her lifestyle.
