DO YOU KNOW ABOUT REJECTION SENSITIVITY DYSPHORIA? (There's a drawing of a broken heart with some flowers)

- RSD is extremely common to have especially when you're autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD!

- It describes extreme emotional distress due to rejection.
Crucially, it's felt exactly the same way even when the rejection is not real, but perceived.

-It comes from traumatic past experiences of rejection.
Your brain is anxiously trying to protect you from the same pain. But instead of helping, it reignites that fear and insecurity.

- RSD can negatively impact your relationships with others, creating resentment and damaging your self-worth. But the more you learn about it and understand how it affects you, the more power you have over it!

- It took me a long time to properly learn about RSD. At first, it was actually more difficult, because I was more aware and present in the feeling. But now 1 know better how to process the emotions, call it what it is, understand that it's not my fault, ride it out, and generally be healthier!

- RSD isn't talked about nearly enough. As someone who understands it, 1 highly encourage everyone who sees this to learn more about it. (check out the link!)

- It's a hard road, but you have the ability to come out stronger and more secure!
