Mindspace was delighted to take part in the #MayoPride Parade on Saturday. Well done to the organisers on a beautiful day celebrating love, equality and the freedom to openly be who we are. Mindspace proudly stands with and supports our LGBTQI+ community in Mayo 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💖 Happy #Pride Month!
Four people, three women and a man stand on a green hill holding a white bannter that says Pride in rainbow colours. There is a Mindspace Mayo logo in the top right hand corner. They are standing in front of a large rainbow flag on the ground. They are smiling and wearing sunglasses. In the background people are sitting on the hill and there is a stage with people buzzing about.

The Western Region Drug & Alcohol Task Force and Planet Youth Ireland have two great webinars coming up for parents/guardians. The first is with Dr Malie Coyne, Chartered Clinical Psychologist, University of Galway Lecturer, Best-selling Author, and parent. Register: wrdatf.ie/training-det...
A event flyer for a live Western Region Drug and Alcohol Task Force WRDATF webinar event with Dr. Malie Coyne, Chartered Clinical Psychologist, University of Galway Lecturer, Best-selling Author, and parent, as she explores the topic of “Supporting your teen when they’re feeling socially excluded”.

The graphic includes the event name and details, a photo of Dr Coyne, a blonde-haired woman wearing a red top against a black background, a graphic of a group of children that shows one being excluded, and a QR code to register.

Here is the event blurb:
Drawing on her clinical expertise and her own parenting experience, Malie will discuss why belonging is vital for young people and how exclusion can affect self-esteem and mental health. She will share compassionate, practical strategies to help parents strengthen communication, support resilience, and navigate the challenges of peer rejection in today’s technology-driven world.

Emmet Major, Planet Youth Coordinator, will highlight what the data in the surveys are telling us about the issue of social exclusion and Maria Powers, WRDATF Family Support Coordinator, will detail some of the supports available to parents in the region. Parents will leave with reassurance, tangible tools, and the opportunity to have their questions answered.

Parents can submit questions on the night through a Q&A chat feature, or ahead of time by emailing Emmet Major at info@planetyouth.ie. All questions will be treated confidentially, and names will be altered for further anonymity.
