Oh, yet another featured UI misalignment! 🤦‍♂️ Nothing to do with the Duo UI itself, just Measure app used as an example here. Way more in-your-face-obvious. And as it happens during angle value animation — it is jittery, so does not even require having a designers eye to be irritated.

Sometimes when I look back at an early sketch phase of a drawing or a design, the famous owl-drawing tutorial looks like being very close to the description I would be able to provide of how the process went. :D Detailing did happen. But essentially the thing was already there.

The critique of Safari icon redesign in comic format did spread well on several Reddit channels. (Not that I understand Reddit.) Did hear a lot more of the “cannot unsee it now”, so mission more successful than I expected. Hope they will continue to complain about it. :)

This is the placement of the mouse/trackpad, if you want to avoid RSI problems. The “standard” place was dictated by mouse initially having a cord. When cord was lost, the optimal position moved to be in minimum reach from the hand position over the keyboard. 🧵... #Ergonomics #RSI

Thankfully zero damage to personal property. City territory overall also looks relatively ok-ish. Most cleanup is needed in city’s museum-park. Although all huge old trees are just fine — probably have seen worst winds than this in their lives.

We have quite strong wind. To continue for 6-8 more hours. Some gusts make the whole house shake. My work desk just wobbled like it’s a micro earth quake. 😰 A “bit” unsettling. Brain is even micro-dosing the adrenaline at times. Neighbor already has one big 🌲 down. I just hope all the roofs hold.

Safari app icon update is 👎 IMO. A. The asymmetry alone is unpleasant when looked at small sizes (like in Dock). B. The rounding of the red half of the needle makes it look like a watch hand. Here is the helper, so you can not unsee it: #AppIcon #Icon #Design #IconDesign #AppIconDesign #UIDesign

From the aggressiveness of these warnings I got an impression that Rosetta will be gone from macOS 27, but if you open the support page it states that it will happen only in macOS 28. That’s overall a positive thing to warn early, but why the heck do I need so many of these damn notifications? #UX
