Hey 🧶 fam, I wanted to post a bit of my current project. So I’m going to be an aunt to my future niece🥹 I wanted to make her something that she can keep forever so I decided to make a baby blanket using the waffle stitch. Posting so I can keep myself accountable! Wish me luck✨ #crochet

Also Jocelyn the lead, has such a timeless style and look that I honestly thought this was a movie made in the last 70’s she has such a nostalgic horror lead vibe!

Today’s watch. Ti West is becoming a fave of mine and this movie did not disappoint. Everything from the aesthetic, time period, stylistic type of horror makes this a year round and a fave during spooky season! Loved it! #horrorsky #horror

recently wrote a poem in indigenous women off and on rez areas inspired by a friend "woven between worlds" lemme know what you think 🙂‍↕️

she moves like a song—
hips swaying between bass lines and heartbeat drums,
gold hoops catching city lights,
braids undone like a promise unfurled.

exists in two worlds—
from tyler to Creator
filling urban spaces with
native presence as a taste of home.

she is fire wrapped in style,
red lips curving around revolution,
hands soft but never idle,
skin kissed by neon lights and the reservation sun.

fierce marble brown eyes
framed by an almond face—
they strip you bare,
make you beg for her cause,
for her name in your mouth.

her mouth? warm, soft, kind—
to those she advocates for.
but to those who seek to harm,
it is a sword,
sharp with the weight of every woman
who has ever fought before her.

It’s been such a rough week it’s been debilitating and then I remember why photography has been something that’s saved my life. This is a first of a year long project, inspired by another photographer where ill aim 2 take a self portrait each month. Taken on Mamiya 645 with Cinestill XXbw 📷 🎞️

Captured these on one of the foggiest days I’ve ever seen. A true dreamscape. 📷 #photography

I’ve been dealing with some personal things and I haven’t had the inspo to crochet 🧶 recently. I hope to get back to it soon:(. On the plus side I just got a switch lite and have been obsessively playing Overcooked and it’s been a good distraction ✨

welp my job has now been compromised by the imbecile known as the us president & his executive orders we don't know the full extent but the freeze on federal funding to the all financial assistance programs is going to hurt so many of our most vulnerable ppl in programs that really need it

Correction, *that were deported JUST last year

No one is safe under any administration. This current admin can kick the biggest rocks for continuing the “tradition” 🤢

La Ultima Chicana @mimschuculate.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

Let’s not forget the hundreds of thousands that were deported under the last administration and that mass deportation is not new. Seeing people with resources and hella money crying on video about what’s happening is cringe. Where were u & your money when it was happening literally just last year???

ok new poem alert....still potentially some edits but i like how this one has fleshed out "BECOMING"

Your hips move like water,
smooth and unrelenting,
a tide I long to drown in.
Your lips—
wine pressed from forbidden fruit—
I drink them slowly,
greedy for the taste of your name.

But it’s your mind
that leaves me parched,
an ocean of fire and words.
Every thing you say
is a glass I empty,
every idea, a storm
I swallow whole.

You are becoming—
more fierce, more tender.
woman carved by her own hands.
I want to drink you in entirely,
your thoughts, your curves,
your rising,
until I am full of your becoming.

Rewatching this miniseries. The cast and performances are excellent and the show itself is so visually stunning. I like to learn about historical catastrophes and this show vividly taught more than I would’ve learned elsewhere. The horror of it all was felt through every episode! #horrorsky

Forcing myself to remember that the #Scream franchise turned their back on Melissa Barrera for publicly standing with Palestine since the next Scream is currently in production. Two opposites can exist: I love the Scream franchise and I hope Scream 7 + flops 🤷🏽‍♀️
