Well I don't know about you, but we've got our plan for writing our NPO application nailed down. #NPOlove
A very scribbled plan on a piece of paper in bad handwriting. It starts with the word 'brainstorm', then progresses through some ill-defined stages before finishing at 'submit' and then 'pub'.

We recently spent some time in a rehearsal room trying out ideas - it’s always good to do a bit of R&D to get the creative juices flowing. Do you recognise the elastic we’re using? It’s from Mimbre’s FIRST SHOW, Sprung! Space: Jackson's Lane Sprung photo by Eric Richmond.
Four female acrobats larking around in a rehearsal studio - they are tangled in armfuls of thick black elastic. One is held upside down by another, the other two are on each side. They seem to be busying themselves with tangling each other further in the elastic. Behind them is a gothic window in a brick wall.

A family tries a superman acrobatic lift - one child lies on their back with their legs up in the air, a smaller child balances on their feet supported by their mum and another child. They are on a blue mat in a community hall painted cream.

We had a brilliant time at the National Centre for Circus Arts’ recent National Youth Circus Day. Our participants had a chance to try equipment they wouldn’t usually have access to and we met some really great people. It’s so important for our young people to be given opportunities like this.
A young person balances on a big blue ball. They are wearing dark clothes and blue shoes. They are in a big brick built building.

We are incredibly grateful to the National Lottery (and especially the #NationalLottery players!) for funding this year’s Mimbre Youth classes. Mimbre Youth uses streetdance and circus classes for 6 to 15-year-olds to bring Hackney communities together across financial and geographical barriers.
Three people support two others to make a ‘flying’ shape together - one person lies on their back with their legs in the air - the other balances on their feet horizontally as if they are Superman. All are in a electrically lit community hall and wear casual clothes. They look like they are enjoying themselves.

We loved our Hip Hop Dance Intensive a couple of weeks ago! From one of the youth organisers: “Each day the participants were led by a different dance tutor, they all taught a different style of hip hop or under the umbrella term for hip hop. I selected the tutors with support from my dance tutor."
