im on a few "pro ai" blocklists bc i have ai in my name (it's a reference to a shitty crypto scam that tried to copy corru.observer to sell a memecoin and i just never bothered to change it) but ive never seen an "anti ai" blocklist

i wrote a "guide" to setting up a small irc server since when i was doing it a lot of important stuff just wasn't documented online but i'm too scared to post it anywhere because what if i've missed some awful vulnerability somehow. like i've never used ldap before i couldve totally fucked it up

tbf a big part of discord's appeal is that it does all of that at once. that's why everyone uses it... sure you can probably get better services by self hosting every individual thing across different services but it's not gonna be as convenient as discord is

i mean yeah i know that because i've been struggling to find one that works, and then trying to get ppl to move. matrix is bullshit stoat doesn't work irc is missing too many features teamspeak costs way too much etc etc but like it doesn't mean you shouldn't try to switch just bc you like discord

facial scans =/= ids, they explicitly stated they send ids to other people which is sketchy as fuck but they didn't lie. it has been proven that the facial scans don't leave your device (that's why you can bypass it)
