To cap off his first 100 days in office, Mayor Zohran Mamdani walked the full 6 miles home from New York City Hall last night — greeting New Yorkers along the way. 🍎

Like any reasonable author, I have now done the most unreasonable thing imaginable - instead of working on a sequel to a my debut novel that was well received, well reviewed, and sells to this day fairly well - I have started writing a completely new one. Fun! Oh to be my beta readers 🤗 #booksky

Book 2 of the Jack Kessler Chronicles is well under way! Chapter I is already done, and if all goes to plan (and it never does!) the book should be ready by Summer 2026! #booksky #indieauthors

One of the craziest things that happened to me lately is that I casually applied for the BookBub Featured Deal thingamajing, not really realizing how selective they were. Well, it turns out that Osiris Rising has passed that selection, and will be featured on October 26th! #booksky #selfpublish

As you all know, I write a lot about my publishing journey here on BlueSky. I decided to write a bit of a longer post about how Osiris Rising came to be a self-published novel, and why I decided to go down this route. Check it out tinyurl.com/bd8by3ja #booksky #debutauthors #OsirisRising

During summer I submitted Osiris Rising, my debut novel to a couple or review websites hoping to receive some feedback and get a sense of how professionals felt about the book. 📕 I never expected to be receiving so many 5 ⭐️ ratings! Immensely grateful! 🥹 #booksky #debutauthor #indieauthor #indie

As much as it sounds profoundly European, and totally against the grain of the relentless hustle culture propagated every day from every social media account in existence - I am happy to share that the last month was one of the best summer months I ever had. Sunshine, beach, and no work, at all!

Incredible to see that my debut novel, Osiris Rising, has broken into the Amazon Sweden's top 100 list for Space Opera genre merely 7 days after being launched. I am beyond stoked! By the way, did you guys know that the word for Space Opera in Swedish is Rymdopera? How cool is that! 😁 #booksky

Selling my first book as a direct result of Amazon Ads Campaign feels like I've mastered some sort of forbidden magic and am now in a dire situation where if I tell anyone they might think I can teach them; all the while panicking about the fact that in reality I merely got lucky. There’s only a handful of things I dislike more than hamfisted world building. Authors, for the love of all that is holy, there is no need to explain how every single piece of the machinery works, or how long each activity takes. Leave something to our, the readers’ imagination! #booksky

Everyone told me that I should not be bothering with Amazon's KDP Reporting the first few days after publishing since the numbers are not really correct, but I simply couldn't resist and my god was I shocked. 1/2

Designing a cover is a lot of work - luckily I collaborated with a fantastic fella who was not only ready to do multiple iterations but also possessed a keen eye for detail. In the coming posts I want to take you all through that process and how we ended up with what you see on screen now. #booksky

It is amazing how a trillion dollar company like Amazon can have such an outdated UI for one of their flagship programs - Kindle Direct Publishing. You’d think they would be eager to put a fraction of the billions they are making through it to make it at least a tiny bit more intuitive! #booksky
