I haven’t had a book break my heart this good in a long while. Suzanne Collins is a genius. I need to sit with this one for a few days, and then it’s going back to the top of my TBR. Just one of those books that demands a reread.

It's weirdly difficult to remember that Trump's popular vote margin was /less/ than Hillary's in 2016. Biden got more votes in 2020 than Trump got in 2024 and Trump surrogates all under-performed in congressional races. This is not a mandate, I don't get why it is being portrayed that way.

Thanks for the tip! I haven’t heard of that before, but trust I’m going straight to google. And yea, I love doing DIY, well-planned gifts. Last Christmas, I custom infused liquor for each member of my immediate family and made them a custom etched glass for the cocktail it went with.

Three Shakespeare plays (Love’s Labor’s Lost, Triolus and Cressida, and Hamlet) stacked on a grey marble counter with a credit card reader on top of them. These editions were printed in the mid 1960s, making them antiques.

Genre ➡️ alphabetically by author’s last name ➡️ size ➡️ color (unless they’re a series, in which case it’s chronologically, even when the publisher randomly decides to change the size/format midway through the series [which is infuriating]) shoutout to Maureen Johnson’s books, which are consistent.
