Just woke up from the Ape nap, what did I miss?

Milk Ape @milkapenc.bsky.social · 06/02/2025

Long shot, but would any of my wonderful oomfs happen to have a spare Palkia EX, Pachirisu EX, Magnezone or Manaphy in TCG Pocket? Trying to build decks and I’m missing these cards. I’ve got a couple spare EXs to trade so just make an offer and I’ll see if I can match it.

Subnautica 8/10 I don’t know if my enjoyment of this game would be better or worse if I truly had a fear of the deep oceans but pretty fun nonetheless. I think my one problem is that the early game was kinda just aimless exploration but I guess that was kinda the point of it so… yeah.

I saw some “If Cena Loses, We Riot” signs during the Royal Rumble press conference. That got a chuckle out of me.

SPOILERS: SPACE TIME SMACKDOWN CARD LEAK It’s beautiful. This card might be really good actually, cheap to set up, 0 retreat cost, more damage than Arcanine and it doesn’t cut into its bulk when it attacks, cheaper than Zard to set up. This card is goated.

Wait hold up. Just noticed something about the Mario Kart reveal. Y’all see how many racing grids there are? That’s 4 rows of 6. Are we getting fucking 24 player Mario Kart?

110

Milk Ape @milkapenc.bsky.social · 16/01/2025

I know. I get why they’re not doing it. Mario Kart has had roster oversaturation for years (babies, koopalings, metal shitters, etc.) we don’t want the Kongs to join in on that. That being said Dixie would be fine if it was just her and no other Kongs. DK, Diddy and Funky are good enough though

Yeah after an entire decade 💀

Probably a new art style, Mario looks like his Super Mario Wonder appearance. I kinda like it, it’s charming.

Seriously what is up with Nintendo and shadow dropping shit lately? They did this and they shadow dropped the Xenoblade X remaster last month too.

110

Milk Ape @milkapenc.bsky.social · 16/01/2025

Nintendo casually dropping Mario Kart 9 during the Switch 2 presentation is certainly a power move. I can’t believe that after a decade we are finally free from MK8DX

In fairness to Brothership, it’s hard to make a fair comparison between the previous soundtracks when they had fuckin Yoko Shimomura.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 9/10 Very very fun movie, the directors finally nailed the formula of what a Sonic movie should actually be. Keanu does amazing as Shadow and there’s a funny Snapcube reference, very epic!

Shin Megami Tensei Vengeance 9/10 Holy fuck this game looks so much better now that it’s not trapped in Switch hell. (Almost beat it before New Year’s but I spent 2 days prepping for the Demifiend fight, fought him for an hour and a half, lost, got pissed and then just destroyed the final boss)
