I think you won't be disappointed with La Breas as they are beefier than traditional tele pups, but of course there are variables concerning pickups: genre, personal preferences, playing style, string gauges, amp... and tele bridge pup is some what bright anyway. It's the nature of it.

Stratocaster is a challenging guitar to set up right, as there are several variables, but when you have a strat, with a good woods and decent low to medium-low output pickups, set up correctly, you get that bell-like tone that just cannot be beat.

There was a time it worked pretty well. Time when rock music and concerts helped young females to blow off steam (sexual energy). Time when girls were not expected to play rock music themselves. To become good at playing, you of course need to develop a love for the instrument and music itself.
