I know most of you guys don't go on the other app but the pope posted an anti AI/ pro artists statement yesterday, and the ensuing cope and memes is really funny

Pope Leo XIV
@Pontifex

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

2016: I will never fight a holy war

2019: Pope Leo I am ready launch me towards the nearest data center

some AI guy saying he makes christian children's books with AI asking the pope if that is ok then and someone posting a meme react with the pope holding a baseball bat saying 'did I stutter'

Estinien final fantasy has so much moe. Max length ears. His slightly too long bangs. The way it’s also 6 different lengths and lies in any direction. His proclivity for dropping off the face of the earth. Annoying sibling to every dragon ever. But I think the most moe is the way he is just some guy

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. / patch 7.56 spoilers a stray thought, a cherished bond #evercold #ffxiv #art #ffxivart

Illustration of the person resembling Ysayle that shows up in a flash during patch 7.56 of Final Fantasy XIV. They have their eyes closed and a serene expression, with their hair flowing into the wind. The background is a blue sky and, at the bottom, a sea of clouds permeates it. The texture of the piece is made to callback to weaving, with it either slowly falling apart or reassembling at the seams.

I designed Mikoto and Estinien's daughter, because I couldn't stop thinking how cool their child would be! :> She has Estinien's personality combined with Mikoto's cheerfulness! (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) I drew this a long while ago but was too shy to post lol >_< #mikoesti | #wolstinien

A digital drawing of an auri-elezen woman. She has white hair, green eyes and a confident smile. She slightly resembles Estinien.

wolstinien is so good bc it's two people who have seen each other at their absolute literal worst and still stand by and accept and love each other. it's good platonically and romantically.

Kept Lucca in her occult crescent gear for the 7.56 msq and I had to sketch what she looked like for half of the cutscenes (I could not stop saying “aww”)

Colored sketch of Lucca in the occult crescent north horn top, which includes a giant scarf that is covering the lower half of her face. Her eyebrows are furrowed in a serious expression, but she mostly just looks cute

#7.56spoilers Ehohohooo Estinien and Mariina are finally getting caught in my canon. I love drawing flustrated Alphinaud. I can't wait for roadtrip 2.0

first page of a comic, where Estinien and Mariina (a viera male) are kissing. Alphinaud spots them from the distance and hide behind a tree in shock.

Alphinaud is flustred about what he just wistnessed. "What was that?!! I've noticed them growing closer but... I was not expecting THAT!" "What should I do? Should I tell them? Why the secrecy?" In the last panel Estinien is saying "What a day, huh?" and Alphinaud is a wreckage.
