Michael @mikhailparker.bsky.social · 12/07/2026I really liked that time after CDs came out but before Portable CD players. If you wanted to listen to the CD on the go, you had to tape it. 000 0

Michael @mikhailparker.bsky.social · 15/03/2026What's sad is that he equates gross earnings with quality. 001 1
Michael @mikhailparker.bsky.social · 05/03/2026I like them, because it's a chance to dash to bathroom, empty some of the dish drainer, throw what's in the washer into the dryer, etc. And makes me feel like other humans may be doing the same. 000 0

Michael @mikhailparker.bsky.social · 11/11/2023They're really meant for recording right onto a computer. They have fewer features (like anti-skate and fine-tuning the speed, and worst of all, they seem to all have a lot of plastic to them instead of good materials. 110 1
Michael @mikhailparker.bsky.social · 11/11/2023For turnatbles you might see Pioneer, Technics. Receivers maybe Panasonic, Marantz, Sony's probably good. Hitachi maybe. I see a lot of Soundesign, but I think they might not be made very well. Oh, and I'd stay away from USB turntables. 100 1
Michael @mikhailparker.bsky.social · 11/11/2023It races at me like gravity, distorts and nauseates, a wicked G-force, snaps sinew and torques bone, sucks my light to make its own mad energy. I can only tremble and fear, a confused toddler against the earth's breast, whispering, "It's so dark, and I've been so good." 010 1
Michael @mikhailparker.bsky.social · 11/11/2023My suggestion, which I hope isn't pretentious, is browse eBay. Lots of turntables there. Then do an amp or receiver. Then do some speakers. Craigslist is also good. I'm kind of on the cheap side, so any of the three above being over $100 each would make me nervous. 120 2
