I have been a United fan and football fanatic since 1970. If City get away with their financial shenanigans I think I am done with football. No idea what I will replace it with but any vestige of sporting integrity will be gone. Mind you i said I would stop going if they introduced all seater stadia

I don't understand why the specific source of the extra money for City's sponsorship deals is relevant. Its clear that the company getting the advertising benefit paid a small percentage and another source topped up the payment to way over market value. Its clearly a mechanism to subvert rules.

The only way to make the PL trully competitive would be a universal wage and transfer ceiling. Unfortunately most of the good players would leave the PL.

Maybe City should be stripped of their titles and then fined the amount of money they fraudulently siphoned into the club meaning that their finances wouldn't allow significant transfer spending for a few years. There finances should be open to scrutiny for a few years too.

No matter how hard i try i can't get my head around the level of corruption of which City have been found guilty. I also can't imagine how severe any punishment should be. Surely some of their actions are also criminal. The files should be handed over to HMRC and the police.

Privatisation under Thatcher has led directly to the mess this coutry is in now. I cannot think of a single example where privatisation has led to anything other than a much poorer, much more expensive service. If you disagree name one.

If City have irrefutable evidence of their innocence you have to wonder how the commission refuted it. Its almost as if someone is lieing, I know who City's money is on.

I don't want City's corruptly won trophies re-awarded. It would be meaningless. But they should be stripped from City. And if Burnley can sue Everton pretty much everyone can sue City. Could put them out of business, they deserve it, but i don't want that either. I'd miss Derby days!!!

If you are found guilty the offences are no longer allegations. ITV news please note. Hard to understand how any appeal can reverse 113 guilty verdicts unless its on a legal technicality as it was when Uefa fell foul of a statute of limitations when trying to sanction City.

mikethered71 @mikethered77.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I am not a lawyer but I did watch Rumpole of the Bailey in my youth so I think i can state with some authority that City will need grounds for appeal. It can't just be we don't agree, or its not fair you don't like us. In which case an appeal can be dealt with relatively quickly.

Wait for Abu Dhabi to blame the club, walk away and try to scapegoat CEO's. Sportswashing a bit screwed unless they shift the blame.

mikethered71 @mikethered77.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

At last, some progress. Now let's see whether its a slap on the wrist that City can accept and move on as you were Or Proper sanctions which they will of course appeal delaying 'justice' even further. My bet is the first tbh!

If there is anything positive to come pit of yesterday maybe its the realisation that Shaw remains easily our best fullback option.

Is running a book on how many minutes Mount lasts cruel? He's quality by the way if he can stay fit he will be great to have. Wouldn't recognise the Brighton team so when it lands I won't know if its weakened 😂😂😂

TBH the sending off hurt us more than City. Let City sit deep which we always struggle against and break on us which we often fail to defend. Can't understand Rashford going off. And we already knew we needed better quality in the fullback position. Still gutted but the team has shown progress.

Hoping for a santos start in place of Tielemans today but at least we are looking to attack. Could be lots of goals, hopefully more for us than them. Come on you reds!!!!
