This has the ending rather than the fade. Maybe it's only a few seconds difference.

I've got that Townhouse cut still and another tatty Townhouse cut which I was given kept for DJing but I don't think I've ever DJ'd with it and don't really have the opportunity at the moment! Both have the fade.

I remember it being a big album and I bought it at some point and liked bits of it but didn't really get it. It wasn't until I had a charity shop copy (pre vinyl resurgence) that I listened to on headphones that I realised it was something special.

It was quite flimsy vinyl and didn't have the lyrics insert.

That reminds me of what I feel was a Polydor (A&M??) pressing of it although still on the Island label I bought in the 80s. I don't have that copy any more though.

The remaster back from... some point has a slightly longer end to Mothers of the Disappeared: it comes to a proper close now. I've got a copy of the single LP as well. Haven't played it in a while. Love One Tree Hill on there.

Stereo so far is mostly down to clicks and groove wear with some panning on introductions and the Dekker track having some light reverb on one side. Beats that treble processing/panning of some 60s EMI stuff by miles though.

Tonight: bought as part of a twofer with 2nd Honeymoon. I didn't get on with this the first time I played it: the sound quality of the record is a big step down from the first and I don't know if that was a big part of it or I just didn't like the material as much.

The German mixes of 19 are appropriately intense and aren't just reconstructions of the UK mixes. The single version is longer and fades rather than cold finishes for some reason.

Good morning! Today's 12" #WeekendSingles includes about 45 mins of music from Herbie Hancock. Autodrive is cut from the same cloth as Rockit but by a less stylish tailor. The German version of 19 to my memory is less UK repro than the other language counterparts. Starting top left then clockwise.

Yeah, I've got that Kraftwerk 45. I had it before the album version so 20 minutes extra took a bit of getting used to. It felt like it should have been finished several times.

I've got the impression you feel it was an undervalued album as it's quite well represented across compilations. I'd say it's my favourite of the four (Miss Adelaide, Nashville, Merton, 00W) and I'd probably put the first one next. There's not a worst one. (No one was talking to you, soundtrack.)

I'm not a big Genesis guy but I like Wind & Wuthering. I didn't grow up on it or know it inside out so I was untroubled by the remix, in fact I reckon I prefer it. Invisible Touch remixed on the other hand sounded horrible to me, pretty much unlistenable.
