Michael Palm of UNC is doing a radio show tonight at 9pm on WXYC featuring music of our mutual friend Ian Knox who is having drastic health issues at the moment. I did the project KSE with him and Ellie Erickson (Erase Errata) in the mid 2010s. wxyc.org

I had just bought my first CD player with money from working at Pizza Hut and this had just hit stores, its release was a pretty big deal and ended up selling more than any other non-major label album that year (Reagan was still president)

Rodan‘s “Rusty” came out in April of 1994 and then June of 44’s “Engine Takes To Water” came out in June 1995. This is not talked about enough

2 incredible CDs I own thanks to buying them at Aquarius Records 20+ years ago – James Blackshaw ‘Sunshrine’ & Factrix ‘Artifacts‘. Went to a few shows that Bond Bergland had in his basement in the Sunset around this time, but man those shows were a real bitch to get to on your bike from the Mission

BRIGID DAWSON and the MOTHERS NETWORK are touring with the awesome UK band Modern Nature RIGHT NOW in the eastern US. I did not know this at all until Brigid informed me of this very recently, so I will be checking them out Tuesday. Please go out and see this very awesome double bill!

After the SF Oh Sees broke up at the end of 2013, I had started jamming with my buddy Ian, and then Ellie from Erase Errata joined us and we became a practice space menace, ripping improv rock moves unlike anything we had done before. Here are highlights knoxshounellie.bandcamp.com/album/last-d...

I am a sports guy sorta but I did not know there was a Carolina Hurricanes hockey team. Funny how you can bubble yourself off from shit you don’t follow, I can name several THFC youth players or Giants minor leaguers but didn’t know a NHL team existed in a state I live next to
