If AI was a coworker, they'd be the boss' nephew, a guy who is only 75% dependable, but we keep him around because a) who would do this stuff otherwise, and b) the boss makes us keep him. I get using it for work I don't want to do. But I am surprised anyone's paying for a service this rough.

It can be effective for finding things/listing ideas, but any reasoning is usually painful -- it's missed obvious conclusions, ignored clear options, or just echoed agreement when pushback was justified. And that's before the literal crashes, memory loss, breaking established understandings, etc.

I've been trying to learn more about AI, as is everyone, and I have a general conclusion: As a search engine, it's more fun than a page of results. But it's incredibly unreliable -- I am shocked that anyone is paying for the quality of the service I've gotten.
