A person stands on a city sidewalk wearing a long dark-red garment and a large white cardboard box over their head. The box has a black open face and a small label reading “CCTV.” They hold a large rectangular sign with a blue border. The sign’s left red panel shows a crossed-out surveillance camera and reads “GTFO” and “GET THE FLOCK OUT.” Its right black panel is patterned with flying cameras and reads “flock out” in bright green lettering. Behind the person are a busy intersection, traffic lights, overhead wires, pedestrians, bicycles, storefronts, a colorful mural, and pale green apartment buildings with yellow balconies.A group of people stands at a city intersection holding a large white protest banner. The banner has large black and red text reading “FUCK = ICE.” One person holds a large white-and-black box labeled “CCTV” over their face, while another person wears a cap with “LAND BACK” printed on it. Several people wear jackets, hats, or sunglasses; one person wears a blue face mask.

The scene is brightly lit under a clear blue sky. Behind the group are multiple lanes of traffic, a marked crosswalk, traffic signals, overhead trolley wires, and modern urban buildings.

“There are so many layers to the resistance against Flock, particularly in the Bay as the heart of the tech industry. Like gentrification, surveillance (read: Flock) is yet another manifestation of tech oligarchs swooping in. This is about preserving the very soul of San Francisco."
A street-corner demonstration is shown at an intersection in front of apartment buildings and storefronts. Five people stand along the sidewalk; several hold signs, and three people across the center hold a large white banner reading “FLOCK = ELE” in large black and red letters. The person at center-left wears a gray sweatshirt, sunglasses, and a cap, and speaks into a handheld megaphone. Beside them, a person in a black shirt with a circular “Tech Workers Coalition” logo looks downward.

Traffic lights, surveillance cameras, overhead wires, a street sign, a pedestrian signal, parked vehicles, and a green-painted bicycle lane surround the group. The background includes a pale gray apartment building with yellow balcony recesses, trimmed trees, and storefronts. The scene is brightly lit by daylight.

❗This isn't a glitch. ALPR systems not only infringe on our right to move freely, but also frequently make mistakes that lead to wrongful arrests & potentially deadly police encounters. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Article cut-out that reads 'Brooks was seated in his white company pickup truck, about to chomp on a french fry in the Chick-fil-A parking lot, when he heard a loud, menacing shout.
“Turn off the vehicle!” a man hollered.
Brooks looked up, the fry dangling in his mouth, to see four Lafayette police officers surrounding his truck, their guns drawn.
“The very first thought was, ‘I’m going to die here today,’” recalled Brooks, a father of two college-age daughters. “My next feeling was, ‘I’m not going to be able to tell my daughters goodbye.’”
Officers handcuffed Brooks and placed him in the back of a police car. Then they told him the truck was reported stolen, prompting Brooks to call out that it was a commercial vehicle.
Only then did the officers realize they had the wrong man.'
