This Reddit post is formatted like a joke but it’s actually a very dry recitation - at times, direct quotes - of America’s public war strategy over the last month. This can’t go on. This is deranged. Impeach and imprison.

People lost jobs for merely quoting Charlie Kirk's own racist words. But the president of the United States can post this and 🤷‍♂️:

In less than a week the Kennedy Center has effectively closed and our local DC paper has been gutted, both by billionaires. I don’t think immigrants are our problem in this country.

So Kyle Rittenhouse, who attended a protest armed with a loaded assault rifle and killed 2 people is a right-wing hero. But Alex Pretti who had a holstered, permitted handgun, was recording ICE, and tried to help a pepper-sprayed woman deserved to die? No one is buying this BS.

I'm not so easily shocked these days, but it might actually be shocking that the vice president of the United States is as violently, smugly, publicly racist as he is.

Who knew that the Allstate commercial we’d have to watch 1 million times during games this year with Meghan Trainor and Patrick Mahomes was actually trying to tell us something. #mahomes

I know we’re going in circles but it is abundantly clear that they have literally no idea, let alone a plan, to fix their own mess. Nobody is at the wheel, it is the first social media AI presidency and they drove themselves into a blind alley.

I forget who said it initially but yeah, the biggest question you could ask anybody concerning American politics right now is "Who was president in 2020?"

May I introduce you to the financial panic of 1873? 1893? 1907? The counter-revolution that ended Reconstruction? The introduction of Jim Crow segregation? The "Mississippi Plan" of 1890? The Populist revolt? The first nationwide strike on the railroads in 1877? Pullmans strike? Homestead?

There's something grimly ironic about Trump, whose criminal guilt was quite clear based on public information, managing to land in the White House rather than a prison cell thanks to dragging out Due Process, now handwaving process away and assuming the right to brand criminals by fiat.

Part of the lesson here is that Trumpists, like many bullies, don’t handle it well if you stand up to them rather than caving. If Trump or Vance or their supporters had any character this petulant display and Zelenskyy’s defiance would be humiliating to them.

This is so many words to say Trump fired the chairman of the joint chiefs because he’s black www.nytimes.com/2025/02/21/u...
The decision to fire General Brown reflects Mr. Trump’s insistence that the military’s leadership is too mired in diversity issues, has lost sight of its role as a combat force to defend the country and is out of step with his “America First” movement.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has previously said that General Brown should be fired because of his “woke” focus on diversity, equity and inclusion programs in the military.

“First of all, you’ve got to fire the chairman of the Joint Chiefs,” Mr. Hegseth said in an appearance on the “Shawn Ryan Show” in November. He added that any general involved with D.E.I. efforts should be fired. “Either you’re in for warfighting, and that’s it,” he said. “That’s the only litmus test we care about.

The lesson for everyone still going on and on about how we can’t stop Trump is that you are wrong. Public pressure works. Pushing Congress works. Stop whining and start yelling. Hegseth and Gabbard cannot be confirmed.

Here’s something that everyone needs to know - the evangelical support that put DJT in the White House was the result of at least 40 years of hard core back door political networking & campaigning by leaders who saw the church as an army of foot soldiers to lead, not as souls to shepherd.

My plea to reporters is to not call it the Department of Government Efficiency. It is not a Department. It is almost certainly going to a Federal Advisory Committee, and it is very important that reporters accurately convey that Vivek and Elon are working on an advisory committee.
The Federal Advisory Committee Act was enacted in 1972 to ensure that advice by the various advisory committees formed over the years is objective and accessible to the public. The Act formalized a process for establishing, operating, overseeing, and terminating these advisory bodies and created the Committee Management Secretariat to monitor compliance with the Act.

In 1976, Executive Order 12024 delegated to the administrator of GSA all responsibilities of the president for implementing the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). Secretariat operations are directed at reporting to the president and Congress on the activities of at least 1000 federal advisory committees. Samples of documents and forms used by the Secretariat and its clients can be found in the “Advice and Guidance” pages.

Executive orders and congressional revisions have further refined the extension and the application of the Act in 1993, 1997, and 1998, and the extent and nature of the Secretariat’s reporting of the activities of the committees. The legal history is easy to follow in the “Legislation and Regulation” pages.
