My postie is great. A couple of years ago I ordered an Arsenal shirt for my son as a present which the postie delivered. He’s a big Arsenal fan so every time he sees me he talks for ages about football and Arsenal. He is so nice that I haven’t the heart to tell him I have no clue about football

I’m thinking of going to the London show, though to my shame I am looking at seats upstairs rather than standing.

It’s a fantastic record, it was the first Floyd album I owned, on the MFP label back in the 70s.

I’m lucky in that I don’t really know Acaster and Lycett (and a couple of the others tbh). I have a sort of begrudging admiration for Blunt…

There was a fantastic reggae mix by Soul Revivers on the Funk and Soul show this evening, probably starts around the 2 hour mark www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

I wouldn’t ever sell it,sorry. I love the Beatles…I just need to sort myself out. I did buy a mono cd box set on eBay but it turned out to be fake.

Mikef @mikegf.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I have the White Album box but I don’t think I have taken it out of the cellophane! I have a sort of odd relationship with that album. Not sure on the Rubber Soul box, I missed out on the mono box a couple of years ago…so maybe.

Not great but I like the clouds

The photo shows the harvest moon and clouds in front of it. You’ll just have to imagine Neil Young singing…or sing yourself maybe.

Fantastic thanks. Over the years I had a lot of these on dodgy cassettes..😊. The Paradiso one played back slightly fast and wobbled a lot, so will be nice to hear it at normal speed!!

They seem to attract flak but they soundtracked a lot of my 80s and early 90s. I love the run Unforgettable Fire to Zooropa.

Happy (astronomical ) autumn all. I decided not to mark the sunrise by dancing naked around a fire in the garden, and I just had a coffee instead.

I have mine as a general item on my home insurance, tho I suspect that isn’t good enough tbh…I’ve never created a list of my vinyl, that would take a v long time for all of the pre bar code stuff! Anyway, good luck with your move or whatever you’re up to. Take care.

So I’ve started a new contract that’s based in an open office. One of the teams has the radio going all day, it sounds like an 80s greatest hits station. I’ve heard “I think we’re alone now” three times in two days. Send thought and prayers…
