i clicked on a text file to open it up in Notepad, after having to select which app a .txt file should be opened with... and Win11 told that .txt files are not supported in Notepad.. So I opened notepad, and loaded the file manually, and it came up just fine. Fuck of #MicroSlop.

it is Happy Hour down at the care center where Mom is a resident. We will have popcorn & cheez puffs & coca~cola, because neither of us drink, all the while, listening to someone play live music for us! I am so happy mom got into this place, as they have a lot of fun and that makes her happy.

a great sadness today... my neighbour of nearly 50 years, a little old lady who has been like an aunt to me, passed away peacefully last night. Quite honestly, she was fit and active, and I expected her to outlive us all. But a brain tumour said otherwise. I am so tired...
