New story: The #Mavs selected Morez Johnson Jr. with the 9th overall pick in last night's NBA draft. The decision signals a level of confidence in the backcourt, but creates a logjam in the frontcourt — an indicator that more moves could be on the way. www.dallasnews.com/sports/maver...

Morez Johnson Jr.'s looming arrival in Dallas makes the frontcourt a little more crowded, and the math says someone has to go.

Interesting nugget of info on this year's draft: There will be 60 picks for the first time since 2021. Last year's draft included 59 picks & the previous three featured 58. In each of the last four drafts, at least one team was stripped of their 2nd round pick for violating free agency rules.
