A lovely day in Bastia, Corsica, France. We’d booked the Taste of Bastia tour, which was a tour on one of those little town trains, then a walk through the older part of the town and some wine tasting. In our free time after the tour I had my first decent seafood lunch in a lovely setting.

Yesterday we took a train from Savona to Genoa, Italy, for the day. The Basilica had a rather austere exterior but was pretty amazing to look at inside. There was also a weird pirate ship used in the film “Pirates”

Our first post call on our Med cruise, Vigo, Spain. The bike up to the old fortress was made easier by outdoor escalators, and we revived ourselves afterwards with a light lunch.

I finally got to see the Initiation Well in Sintra yesterday. I’ve been to the Pena Palace a couple of times before, but didn’t know about the well at another palace until I saw it on the Abandoned Engineering television series

Cooks' Cottage was constructed in 1755 in the English village of Great Ayton by the parents of James Cook. It was shipped to Victoria and re-erected in the Fitzroy Gardens in 1934. It commemorates Captain James Cook, who in 1770 mapped the east coast of Australia #worldcruise #travel

“Probably the best pub in Tonga”. It was rather good and packed with guests and crew off our shipThe coconut stout was rather good, until it ran out. As did the local lagerI couldn’t help noticing the large amount
Of Chinese aid and Chinese owned shops. If the USA doesn’t want to do foreign aid anymore I’m sure China will only be to happy to step in inside
