Week 3 out of 11 of teaching at Birkbeck, University of London complete. What a brilliant experience it has been so far. The students have been really motivated and engaged. Next week they pitch the projects that they will be doing as the final assessment. Excited to see what they bring.

One of the worst hotel stays on this job I’m shooting. First, the room is all bed! Next, despite setting the thermostat low, the room is hotter than Hades. And finally, the neighbours came back around midnight, banged into the wall outside my room and then proceeded to have obnoxiously loud sex.

Spent the weekend working on my book proposal for The Mad, Bad and Sad History of Car Brands. My sample is about German companies and I may have to do an opening paragraph stating they all did bad things between 1939 and 1945! By the way, The below image is what I’ve gone with for the Author page.

Late to it, but really drawn in by the TV show Kin. Crime thriller. All shot in Dublin. If you’re in the UK it’s on BBC iPlayer and also Netflix. Great cast, tight writing and neat directing. Hoping for a third season but it’s currently in limbo as the production company went bust.

I only have one criteria when buying a car. ‘Not boring’. 1. Fiat Uno. First car. Wasn’t a Fiesta or a Corsa. 2. Hyundai Coupe. Looks like a Ferrari 456 if you get dirt in your eye. 3. Ford Transit. £20 at auction. 4. Saab 9-3 Aerosport. The weirdos choice of executive car. Still cool.£220.
