Other cities don't charge candidates fees just to put up election signs, but York Region and most of its municipalities do. A Richmond Hill man decided paying $618 isn't worth it.
Regional Municipality of York and its cities, like Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham, each require non-refundable fees before election signs are posted.
