"Drill and bills come down." It's the most repeated idea in energy politics. It's also wrong. If we maximise every drop of North Sea oil and gas you save around £80 a year. A clean energy saves at least £400. The numbers have been clear for year. It's time the politics caught up.

I was very fortunate to join @ntfc.bsky.social this weekend for the NTFC Community Trust weekend. As well as meeting some brilliant volunteers and organisations that work with the trust, I got to plant a tree as part of the club's new greening project and spend some time with trustees.
