I believe (and hope) that ragebait content will start dying. Brought on by a collective desire for normalcy, and the negativity reaching critical levels that may push people to seek an escape. For US at least, I think it all erupted from the boiling emotions of dissatisfaction overall, early 2010’s.

I think the best way to deradicalize people from the far right is to actually use their language and flip it against their argument. Like any cults, they have their own glossary of terms that may sound weird or stupid to outsiders. But please do it in ways that isn't combative/condescending.

After being on Bluesky for a bit, I'm fully convinced that modern social media is responsible for the majority of social conflicts. Especially Facebook. It's directly responsible for multiple ethnic violence across the globe. The Rohingya Massacre is one of them.

I think being an anti-censorship is a good personality trait because censorship can be used against anyone, including you. Sadly this sentiment isn't really popular amongst the youths, but instead it's popular amongst crazy conspiracy theorist uncles.

Big truthing I think it's part of a bigger situation where we want to vilify everything people we hate stand for. We see the crazy uncle, we see Elon Musk, we see what they like and associate it all with what must be wrong. It hurts us from being able to evaluate merit of ideas over social teams.

I'm glad that Bluesky has a blocklist and toggle for people to avoid nsfw stuff. As someone who draws NSFW, it's great that people have the ability to control what they see on their feed.

The young folks get hit with it the hardest. Bombarded with hateful or extremist messages, sexual content, etc. Even the artists know that NSFW is just about the only thing that sells, so they know they have to censor that so young eyes don't see it. Some is necessary.

Algorithms on sites like Twitter or Youtube are ridiculously terrible and designed intentionally for radicalization. That should, absolutely, be stopped, but I don't think censorship is the way to go about it. The most direct way would be legislation against intentionally promoting radical content.

the problem starts when, instead of having a healthy discussion, they start to double-down and throw insults. while the idea of debating an awful idea is absolutely noble, some people just don't. this is why a lot of people stopped talking to family members who become conspiracy theorists.

Anticensorship is good, but censorship in moderation can be a good thing too. I think theres too much of a "youre either with us or youre against us" mindset in most conversation and rhetoric these days. Which makes it really hard to form genuine opinions for a lot of people

well the Sega mandates specifically ask to make everything Sonic kid friendly, and they were made after sonic 06 and penders lawsuit. I think it was only a matter of time.

True... Sonic 06 Amy was basically lobotomy and a downgrade 💀 Also I feel like every single changes Sega made to Sonic, including rouge, has been a reaction from 06.
