A white man preying on youth voices and piggy backing off their kaupapa while taking zero risk and causing harm to an already vulnerable minority will forever be a dick move.

Please don't give your org or rōpū a Māori name but then continue to navigate spaces via an anti-Māori approach. Solidarity with Te Ao Māori goes beyond recognising our place names or giving yourself a Māori name. If you're constantly speaking over us you're behaving like a coloniser. Go you

Join a union? How's about join your local marae instead. Honestly, show our govts there's a need for your local marae to be resourced. They're constantly relying on us in the case of emergencies and I know for a fact that not all our marae are equipped for this but we push on!

E hoa mā, Gaza is 41km long - that's such a long way to walk when you're told to leave your homes, yet such a small area to see such relentless assault. 41km is about 8 laps of Hagley Park. Join me tomorrow in Ōtautahi for a hīkoi beginning 8am as we walk the length of Gaza in solidarity.

So last night at the vigil a wahine (older than me) punched an elder Palestinian lady in the face and then tried to go for everyone else. I was impressed by the Palestinian men who put themselves in the middle even though they were being racially abused. They also remained peaceful
