...well that was fun. Cooking alpaca burgers for dinner. Burger one? Fine. Burger two? Fine. Burger three? Fi-SMOKE BOMB! Turn the heat down. Burger four? SMOOOOOOOOKE! They didn't even char like crazy or anything, just suddenly went turbo smoke. Entire second floor is smokey, but tasted good.

Additional note for anyone who has ever wanted to - do it. Brain damage hosed my fine motor skills, I've got nerve damage in my fingertips, etc. Consider pre-minced/pre-grated ingredients and using a jig for making everything a mobility aid. Don't let the world steal your joy, it takes enough as is.

I foolishly thought this project would be fun. Towards the end, I was ready to hurl the entire thing at the floor. I persevered and finally finished it last night. It doesn't look half bad for something a friend referred to as "My-kea." Dimmable LEDs, RF on/off controls, holds my stuff nicely, etc.

A home office with wood paneling and plaster walls and grey carpet. There is a monochrome painting on the wall and a blue leather love seat. There is a gray blanket piled on the back of the love seat. Beside it, there is a set of open shelves that go up and over a door and connect to closed shelves on the other side. The door is covered in a very wrinkled green screen, I need to iron it. The shelves are adorned with various knickknacks.

Displayed across the shelves are a wooden 3D puzzle wolf, a black sand hour glass, various gem stone towers, pyramids, spheres, and animals, Japanese flip books, a wooden box, a Galilean thermometer, a radiometer, storm glass, glass spheres with clouds in them, a PS4 controller, a mood Rubik's cube, a resin rook, a couple puzzle boxes, a cryptex, various books of fiction and non-fiction, a Flipper Zero, and some storage cases. The shelves are each lit with circular LED pucks.

A series of black, enclosed shelves, which are all lit with LED puck lights. The shelves contain a Newton's cradle, a DefCon 27 badge, a wooden cube with celtic knotwork cut into it, a 3D printed gold poop trophy, a resin dragon egg, hand felted llama and snowman, a sleepy bunny sculpture, a ferofluid jar, a pin impression toy, and a periodic table of elements that contains each of the elements listed on it.

I am hating this project. Glue dried, continued to install the mounting hardware and busted every spot that the mounting hardware was going. It's now soaking in more glue, which has so far sprouted five leaks. Hopefully, that's the last of them to fix, and it's not glued to the floor in the morning.

Welp, went to install the mounting hardware this was for into my shelving unit. Got all the small pilot holes drilled, no issues. Went to drill the half inch pilot hole for the mounting hardware and the entire corner exploded. Just going to let that sit in a pool of wood glue overnight... -.-

Let this be a lesson for all in not getting complacent. Grip screw in vice grips, cut with dremel, dip in water bucket, remove from vice grips. Had 30 to do. Around screw 15, autopilot engaged, brain checked out. I did not dip. At least if I need to know the threads, I can check my two fingers.

A ziplock bag on a counter full if carrots, cabbage, and green onions. There's a bottle of sesame oil nearby, as well as various cooking utensils, a package the meat was in, and a box of instant rice.

A pan on a stove. It is full of ground turkey, chopped cabbage, chopped green onions, minced carrots, minced garlic, onion powder (sorry, we ran out of onions), salt, sesame oil, and soy sauce.

A funny anecdote from the CrowdStrike charlie foxtrot: following the CS remediation guidance, a bunch of systems still would blue loop. I've been working on a project to disable various AV vendors at boot time, including CS, and provided it to work. It wasn't the original purpose, but worked great.

I always figured that Microsoft was full-on running stuff that's attached to e-mails when it processes them through Exchange Online Protection for a company's 365 tenant, but, none-the-less, I was still pretty amused to have a Microsoft sandbox run the reverse shell and connect back to my listener.

I work 100% remote, and only go into the office after hours when I need to physically touch a piece of hardware. So, I went in Friday night to work on something, and while waiting on processes to run I left a team building exercise for our entire team. Everyone seems to be having a good time so far.

Today was a good day. My partner and I took their service dog to the park, and we did a mile walk around it. Then I chatted with a dear friend for four hours, helping them navigate the woes of first-time homeownership and maintenance tasks most people don't warn you about. Last I napped, and gamed.
