Should be the last of it for awhile? And now we wait for the flooding from the rivers. 😬

🌱Wild Country Girl 🌱 @midwestwildchild.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Another half inch of rain yesterday and overnight. More on the way that's supposed to be heavy. We're saturated, so flooding is likely.

Back from the vet, not her teeth. Full blood panel and they'll get back to us. Glad they didn't notice anything extreme, but now nervous about the blood results. She was not a happy Stella Bella Boo at the vet 😬

Taking the love of my life to the vet today. Sudden weight loss has me concerned. Hoping it's nothing serious. She's an old girl (14 yrs old) so hopefully just her teeth.

Remember every time you say "they got what they voted for" you are... 1. Ignoring that many "rural" voters aren't farmers. Lots of new development on sold farmland. 2. Falling for the propaganda that makes you think rural = farm instead of people w/2nd homes.

🌱Wild Country Girl 🌱 @midwestwildchild.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I need for you all to understand how farming works, in your local area at the very least but also on a larger scale, before you make comments. Also that using blanket terms such as "farmers" while displacing your anger ignores women and minorities in agriculture.

For reals I am soooo over this rain. It's not storms or massive flooding, but it's this super obnoxious small daily amount that is just making everyone's day harder for the past weeks 😢

Overnight into half the damn day after they promised it would stop this morning 😭 NOW do we get a day to dry out?? Just one, maybe? 🙏

🌱Wild Country Girl 🌱 @midwestwildchild.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Yesterday into today. More on the way overnight, then maybe we dry out for a minute.

Where is the "I'd like to opt out of any and all AI options forever" setting? And no, I'm not going to "get used to it because it's not going away". I'm going to shut off everything I can because I DON'T WANT OR NEED IT THANK YOU.

Well after one singular full day without rain, we're now back to who knows when this stops. Overnight total...

We almost had 48 hrs without moisture falling from the sky. Almost. This is a really wet fall. 🫠

Apparently not done. 🤨 It's still doing that thing outside where it's not *really* rain, but water is in the air and making things wet. (No not humid...like a misty fog?) Also, rain expected this afternoon. 🫠

Sunday overnight, all day Monday into Tuesday morning. On the 10th day I think it might be done for at least 48 hrs. Overall I think we got somewhere close to 4 inches of rain in this stretch.

Saturday overnight. Sunday was mist on and off all day. The 8th day of rain. 🌧

Another half inch in the rain gage. Day 8 of rain

Sprinkles since Thursday into Saturday afternoon. (Most of this from last night). It may never stop raining little bits and really I'm fine with this. 😂

Thinking back to high school, 9th grade, when my Dad made me go get a physical "just in case" I wanted to do sports. That's when I learned certain vaccines give me vertigo or something (I passed out lol). But the vaccine? An MMR booster. THANK YOU DAD. 🙏

My mother keeps trying to convince me that she mows short so she doesn't have to mow as often. Pretty sure it's the opposite - mow high, needs mowed less. But then she says higher means it looks like it needs mowed. There is no reasoning with her. 😫
