Beautiful invocation from several Nashville organizers. Shows up right at the beginning of the linked video. Going to share that instead of attempting to type it out. VM Henderson follows it with a statement about standing together with members of our community. www.youtube.com/live/VDJecSf...

@sbworkersunited.org, Central Labor Council of Nashville and Mid TN, and several Metro Council members are calling for Starbucks to respect workers’ right to organize in their stores in Nashville. We’re hearing from many of them here at the downtown courthouse where council will be meeting soon.
Starbucks workers, wearing Starbucks Workers United shirts, hold up a banner reading “No Contracts, No Starbucks.” Members of the Central Labor Council of Nashville and Middle TN, and several Metro Nashville City Council members stand around them. In the front, a Starbucks worker speaks.

Official Metro account making their pitch. Not hiding the surveillance.
A post from Nashville Metro government’s official account:

“Let’s keep downtown Nashville safe for everyone. Grant funded security improvements help us deliver safety without burdening Nashville taxpayers.”

Below, is a video in portrait orientation with a view of the city that shows the text “Four safety tools are up for vote at Metro Council.” Additional text appears in the video itself (not linked in post).

The rules change to require a mandatory 60-day deferral for zoning changes within council districts. Because it’s a rule change, it would have to be a supermajority.
