(i've never lived in cali or maine)

i've been reading a lot of threads w/recommendations of video game media/podcasts/streams/etc. with non-male hosts, for Reasons that'll become clear at a future point in time, & unfortunately i have become more mentally ill from reading bad takes about this. sorry for example bad take in screenshot

I used to love What's Good Games but what pushed me away is that it became more of a podcast about them being women than it did about them being gamers. It kind of almost felt like it went from being entertainment to being preachy. And sadly Andrea was kind of the driving force for that. Britney and Steimer(when she was a member) were fantastic at keeping it fun but Andrea (and even Rihanna) kinda drug it down entertainment wise. They both had amazing knowledge of the gaming industry and I loved that about them.

I will say, something else I loved about the show was the overall structure. It felt like there was an actual plan behind each segment and it didn't get too ranty.

But overall I wasn't surprised to see that they canceled the show because it really did become way more about them being women in gaming versus just being gamers."
