As a daily downtown / Pioneer Square commuter, I feel 1000 times more endangered by the sidewalk use of e-bikes and scooters than fentanyl.

So glad Bruce is gone — he couldn’t construct a surveillance state fast enough.

Here in Seattle we would never know whether local media outlet @thestranger.com had a conflict of interest in its reporting or opinion pieces because it keeps its stakeholder list secret.

Amazon folks: Cancel vacation in PeopleSoft as soon as you get layoff notice, before access is cut off. In WA, unused “regular PTO” is paid out on separation. But if you have vacation scheduled during your notice period, your leave balance will be debited by that amount.

It’s a sign of how lost the liberal establishment is that its primary solution to egregious, ineffective, illegal government repression is to require ICE use more surveillance technology while it keeps doing what it does.
Judge requires ice to use body cameras after tear gas.

This article notes that many incarcerated folks need to turn to commissaries to ensure adequate nutrition, but those menus are also largely starch-based, with only a couple proteins (eg, tuna and high-sodium beef stew) and no fiber-rich produce.

As of yesterday, DOJ has cut all Prison Rape Elimination Act investigation and audit funding. This means neither prisons nor jails nor the quickly filling immigration detention centers will be audited for compliance with rape prevention law. theappeal.org/trump-doj-de...

WA Senate should rename Law & Justice the Incarceration Committee. The bills they passed this week were wild. Eg, SSB 5229: if you needed Narcan 2 weeks ago and aren’t taking proper care of your health, you’re subject to civil commitment. app.leg.wa.gov/BillSummary/...
