04:42 matins (rainy night)
Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.

I hadn't considered it until I read your haiku, Dick. Last year, I looked thru the huge telescope at UNC's Planetarium. It was a cloudy night and they apologized for not being able to show us a nebula. When it was my turn, I saw--clearly--Saturn--rings and all...it was like looking at a god.
