Thank you @maryhalvorson.bsky.social and Sylvie Courvoisier for coming to New Mexico and putting on an INCREDIBLE show last night. It was my daughter’s first music show and wow, what a doozy. She’ll never forget this one. One of those shows I wish I had recorded start to finish.
A stage with two people. One seated with a microphone (Mary) and another at a piano (Sylvie). A young fan sits in the foreground in the audience

Thanks! I’ve been looking forward to this trip for the past year. But I just herniated a disc in my back and can’t sit down (so flying is gonna be painful)…I’m worried I’m gonna have to back out 😭

9.3 because it’s great. I got nothing humorous to say about it. Super relatable album even tho I haven’t gone through a romantic breakup in ages. Beats. Incredible. Rhymes. Incredible.

For real. It’s literally harmless. One of my son’s teachers made him email several profs to critique a think piece they had to write. I was like “no one is gonna respond”. And most didn’t. But a BYU prof emailed back a detailed response. It made my son’s day. It’s also fine to ignore them tho

I’m going to be in Chicago toward the end of August for a week. I need recs for venues where I can catch some cool music. @intlanthem.bsky.social I know y’all got the scoop. Tap me in! I’m down with any type of left field music but my fave to see live is creative improvised instrumental type.

Somehow, Jeff Parker ETA IVtet and the IARC sound, in general, gives you a feeling of presence and community even when you’re listening by yourself with headphones. It’s incredibly powerful. I could never quite find the words to express that, but the homie Dash has a way with words.

This review captures the magic of JP ETA IVtet — and many in the @intlanthem.bsky.social sphere in general — wonderfully. “The IVtet’s power is in presence…The simple act of finding space with other people can help you touch the infinite”. @gardenerjams.bsky.social pitchfork.com/reviews/albu...

I am *hyped* to find a record shop in New Mexico carrying @intlanthem.bsky.social. Picked up a few records and watched a screening of the Jeff Parker ETA IVtet film at No Logo Records. Incredible album and great shop. I will be back. Next, we just gotta get the IVtet to come here for a show!

My Fly or Die shirt prompted a couple conversations about jaimie branch today at the rock gym. Hopefully a couple new listeners to the fly or die universe. Thanks @intlanthem.bsky.social for making sure her legacy lives on! The shirt has been helping me educate the world every time I wear it.
A person standing in a rock climbing gym wearing a black shirt that reads “fly or die” in white letters. The fly or die slogan is a nod to the fly or die series of albums by trumpeter and all-around amazing person, jaimie branch, who tragically passed in 2023.

The major cities really are insanely expensive here in the US, too. The city I’m in is still sorta affordable. It is definitely not a major city, though. Nice size, ~500,000 people so it feels like a large town. Just not big enough to get Armand Hammer to come through 😭

Good point; London is expensive, so I guess you pay for access to all those shows. We loved it there when we visited this summer, but even a few days in hotels was rough lol

LEVITATOR @microlevitator.bsky.social · 10/01/2026
You’re so spoiled in London lol. Hardly anyone comes close to my city (for example, I’d have to drive 7 hours to see Armand hammer on their upcoming tour). I’m so starved for live music I’d got to a tribe show if it was just q-tip 😭 But if I were in your shoes maybe not

It makes me sad that I’ll soon have to take down this epic holiday light display that we made out of a dead tree stump. I’m tempted to keep the dead tree in place for next year…

I love To Cy and Lee, I’m glad it was part of the IA11 series so I could discover it like it was new. I’m surprised I wasn’t tapped in when it originally dropped but no matter. I’m tapped in now!

This was a fun year where I eagerly awaited the announcement of the albums that were part of the IA11 series. Universal Beings was the fitting choice for the final album. It kicked off my loved affair with this label. For that reason alone this album meant more to me than just the music.
