I’m on my 4th or 5th recurrence over 20 years, and have had 60+ radiation treatments to date. Now I make my own calendula infused salve that soothes more than the prescriptions did.

Bottled gas, or pipeline? Pipelines require compressors to keep natural gas flowing, many of which operate on diesel fuel or electricity. I’m thinking about those who have no ability to self-generate their own power, which is unfortunately the vast majority of our country.

Statistically less than 20% of BC’s have a known genetic link. I’ve had two different kinds without any known mutations. Yet, BC is confirmed in every generation for 5 consecutive generations of women on my mom’s side. Praying my other 2 daughters won’t follow that pattern.

Of all of us, the only one that has any identifiable genetic mutation for an increased chance of breast cancer is my daughter. Who inherited it from her father, not me. Anyone else suspect their cancer has at least some yet-unidentified genetic component? #CanSky #CousinStrong

That’s not a fucking happy surprise to realize over half of my female cousins have/had this disease. I’m the only stage IV, so far. My daughter #1 of 3 has been a BC survivor since she was 24, (18 years now). #CanSky

While heading to the treatment room at my Cancer Center, I ran into my cousin, who was getting follow up for DCIS treatment several years ago. I nearly greeted her with “Well, this is a happy surprise!”, before realizing once again that 3 of my first cousins also have breast cancer. #CanSky

My first experience inoculating a log with oyster mushroom spawn back in April has successfully sprouted! With over 40 100° days this summer, I couldn’t keep it moist all the time, but guess the efforts were good enough. Now what shall I use them in?🍄‍🟫🌱
