So I don't want to jinx anything but better? Her test results came back largely normal (the outliers consistent with a GI issue). We'll know more in the next twelve hours as we wait to document her next poo because evidently that's who we are now.

She went for a long walk this morning after eating noodles and chicken and a little kibble. No vomiting so far. Tests came back normal. Monitoring to see if her stool returns to normal - if not, gotta collect a sample for the vet. Fingers crossed!!!

Seriously the worst feeling. This dog went from eating all of the things to turning down boiled chicken?! 😭

150

Lulu has extraordinary guardians! ❤️😂❤️

130

Sending you all the healing vibes and celebratory pork chops!

Honestly the rice in the left nostril - TWICE - is one of the mental images keeping me going at this point. 😂

050

For her to go from things coming out of both ends yesterday, through the night, and earlier today to this expression is several levels of audacity and yet not unexpected. No one understands how complicated it is to be Lulu.

To be clear, she is hungry. She wants what Lulu wants, but for now she gets a bland diet and some hound is not going gently into that good food recommendation if you're following.

Pupdate: She received an anti-nausea shot + fluids and they're doing tests, should get results tomorrow. SHE DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO EAT CHICKEN THIS AFTERNOON. 😱😭 We tried again with shredded chicken breast and chopped up pasta (rice got lodged in her nose) and she ate it. #UglyDogs

Sending heartfelt wishes that Violet comes home soonest. Our neighbor's cat escaped once and turned up a week later sitting at the base of a telephone pole, directly under the lost cat flyer his family posted everywhere. ❤️

Hey #UglyDogs - any good juju you can send Lulu's way would be most appreciated! We're at the vet's for GI issues. When it rains, right? #RescueDogs #DogSky

I'm so sorry that your community lost this good, genuinely caring man. I can tell he will be greatly missed. ❤️ Awooooooooo!

We lost a true champion for dogs and all companion animals this week here in Maryland. Dr. Anderson listened, he cared, he diagnosed the most complicated situations effortlessly. He loved what he did. #UglyDogs can we please get an awooo? www.donaldsonodenton.com/obituaries/s...

Right?! I’m so here for it! It’s like the birds you see riding the wind currents as you cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge - so joyful and also so chill. ❤️

I SEE ZARA HAS MET LULU. 🙄😂

Mickey Gomez @mickeygomez.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

It was the potatoes that did it. Finding their basket on the sofa and potatoes scattered throughout the house was a bridge too far.

Mickey Gomez @mickeygomez.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

She is a GENIUS when it comes to accessing food. She was the first of our dogs to realize she could access the kitchen counter from the passthrough to the living room. She would stand on the back of the sofa to explore her counter options. We had to move the sofa. 😂

At this point I feel like Lulu pays him to leave some for her. She also barks at the back door when he's not finished, he runs to the door, forgets to finish his food and thus another opportunity presents itself to our girl. 😂

You can hear this photo, right? Sarah McLachlan singing plaintively in the background about the arms of an angel? 😂 The best part? She helped herself to Jimmy's leftovers around 4pm, so in addition to breakfast and snacks, she had a late lunch!

Lulu would like to remind you that dinner is six minutes late and counting and she is on the verge of becoming a dog-wraith. To be fair, one of us is responsible for dinner & that human is asleep on the couch after a terrible commute. But did Lulu climb on him & judge him from above?! 😂 #uglydogs

#uglydogs I haven’t posted about this before but my beloved kitty Violet has been missing for two weeks and I am devastated. Please send all your good thoughts to us so that someone finds her and gets her microchip scanned. 🙏

Day 95 of #the100DayProject is another ocean study tutorial in which I totally failed to follow the image and went primarily by vibes. 😂 First time painting on fancy Arches cold press #watercolor block paper and honestly I'm blown away by the difference.

Watercolor painting of the sea: pale cobalt sky, turquoise water, and a white moon, sun, not entirely sure hanging low in the sky and reflecting on the water. Huge shout out to Let's Make Art and Sarah Cray for the tutorials!

Our @jordansbrock.bsky.social spent the night in the hospital getting blood transfusions for severely low hemoglobin. She's recovering at home & needs some iron rich food to fight anemia until she's able to cook. If anyone can donate Door dash codes, please DM her. Thank you from me n B💜 #UglyDogs

Day 94 of #the100dayproject - learning a different technique for painting/sketching dogs! Thanks to toriratcliffeart (on IG) for the fabulous tutorial! #MixedMedia #watercolors

Watercolor Dalmatian done in a splattered paint technique - the spots are brown and the boat is brown with pink and the left eye is a light blue into brown.
