1 Do cons not have a premade sign up sheet that you just fill in the blanks? Game Name, Genre, Brief Description, Rules Name System (2D6, D20, or whatever), GM Name. As for description, I'd have thought short and sweet would be best such as- "The Empire is in danger and needs you to save it!" or...

Another thing to consider is rules for when a shield wall gets broken as it would be devastating to the unit, I've yet to see that in any rules.

Here I would have to disagree with you. It's their 1965 version of 'She' for me. Saw it as a nipper back in the 70s, and it started my love of films and stories with lost civilisations that has never diminished all these years later.

2. Why should they all be the same? Are all humans the same? Let's vary it a bit. The next bunch or orcs they meet may be a raiding party who are battle hardened veterans so the hit points and damage are higher. Same with any encounter, it'll add a bit of fun to the whole group and stop complacency.

1. I was thinking along similar lines about npc's and beasties myself recently. Why should they always be the same in every encounter? In popular games how many times have heard something along the lines of "oh, they're orcs which means they have x hit points and do x damage"
