Since persisting at hard things is usually how you get good at them, this is something of a problem.

Yep. Whenever I see it, I think "You don't believe in paying people for their work, so why should I pay you for stealing it?"

A software that tracks and save versions is always good.

“Darren,” Maedlynn tenderly admonished him, “you’re not supposed to be looking at me now.” “Why not?” “It’s considered bad luck for a groom to see their bride in a wedding dress before their wedding.” He paused. “But I know what you look like.” #books #booksky

Amazon now does this-- it "summarizes reviews" and there is no way to turn that off.

Self-loathing is always funny to me, because when I hear it go, "No one likes you," I go, "So? No one likes you either."

Speaking of which, it's Canadian Thanksgiving weekend!🦃

When is Thanksgiving?
Americans and Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on different days, but the
date of Thanksgiving in both countries has changed many times over the
last hundred or so years. In Canada, Thanksgiving was originally in April.
It was changed to November 6 in 1879 and changed again to Remembrance
Day in 1921. In 1957, Canadian Thanksgiving was finally established as the
second Monday in October. It’s not venerated the same way in all of Canada,

The Äskekärr ship was discovered near Gothenburg (Sweden) in the 1930s, dating to the tenth century CE. Over its 60-70 year working life it had probably operated as a cargo vessel (knarr) over the North and Baltic Seas It is the only longship with a runic inscription: ‘feoh’ (‘cattle / wealth’)
