This close up image shows the exterior of a building in Miami, FL financial district. The kinetic facade at 830 Brickell caught my eye when wind caused movement of the small aluminum squares. This section of the building contains the eight-story parking garage. Coloring is light gray, medium gray and dark gray. Near the top of the image, one sees vertical lines appearing as light gray or silver and black lines creating a visual contrast. Kinetic architecture refers to buildings designed to allow parts of the structure to move without compromising overall structural integrity. This capability for motion can enhance aesthetic qualities, respond to environmental conditions, or perform functions that static structures cannot.

Sailing on San Francisco Bay as the sun is setting with only available light, this image is dark. The pink and purple color of the sky is reflected on the water. The Golden Gate Bridge is far away in the background on the horizon seen behind the hills. The image is grainy and the mood feels somber to me. I share it to reflect sadness in the loss of Michael Tilson Thomas. He was a beloved American conductor, composer and pianist.

This photo I took at the beach on Hilton Head Island presents a calm day with gentle waves rolling onto the shoreline. The foreground shows a thin lay of water over ripples in the sand which appears slightly greenish-brown. The blue sky has ample clouds near and far to the horizon. Most clouds are white but some are medium blue-gray. A couple of people can barely be seen walking on the beach on the left side near the horizon line.

This concert was bittersweet. Here is Bob Weir playing guitar with the Grateful Dead on November 3, 1991 in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. The view is from below the stage looking up. Black fabric is draped from the stage. Equipment is visible along with lighting above and behind Bob. In the background, trees mostly cover the blue sky. This was the Bill Graham Memorial Concert to celebrate his magnificent life plus others who died with him in a helicopter crash.

The serenity felt while taking in this view of the Pacific Ocean was a gratitude moment. The sea in Bodega Bay, CA was calm. Small waves are visible, including the most prominent one lapping over a rock near the middle right of this photo. Also, very hard to see is a flock of birds below the horizon line on the right half. This soft blue color of the Pacific Ocean and the sky above is peaceful. May you all have peace today and always.
