Micha @michareiser.bsky.social · 26/08/2026It has the same worst case complexity as your approach but, in practice, a single pass is sufficient most of the time 100
Micha @michareiser.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Sort of. Each fix has an isolation level. The default is that we don’t apply overlapping fixes in a single fix-pass. But we also have custom groups, where fixes are only applied in the same pass for as long as they don’t overlap and no other fix of the same group has been applied 100
Micha @michareiser.bsky.social · 26/08/2026We have seen this issue in Ruff, e.g. when removing unused imports that an other fix now starts depending on. I don’t remember the exact details but we have a system that detects these overlaps. But it requires code on both the removal and use import fixes 110

Reposted by MichaCharlie Marsh @crmarsh.com · 13/05/2025Today, we’re announcing the preview release of ty, an extremely fast type checker and language server for Python, written in Rust. In early testing, it's 10x, 50x, even 100x faster than existing type checkers. (We've seen >600x speed-ups over Mypy in some real-world projects.) 1433284

Select the .venv in Zed's toolchain selector We have plans to further improve our support of Python. Stay tuned. 0564

Reposted by MichaCharlie Marsh @crmarsh.com · 04/12/2024python-build-standalone has exploded in popularity, with over 70M downloads all-time. But what is a "standalone" Python build? It wasn't obvious to me at first! Initially, I didn't understand what problem was being solved or why it mattered... 716020

Micha @michareiser.bsky.social · 07/11/2024The down/up cursors don't work in the search. For example, I can't search for "Dan " and then hit the down arrow to select your profile. The focus remains in the input box. 000
