whatever. The vampires would have never seen it coming; the Lone Ranger shooting at them with silver bullets.

and they had all used whatever silver they had to make bullets for him to use against the vampires. It would have certainly required more tools than exist in the movie in its current form, but that would merely require some fine-tunning of the script to change the setting into an unused foundry or

Presumably Bass Reeves inspired the Lone Ranger, who used silver bullets. In the era that Sinners takes place in, people know who the Lone Ranger is, and might even know what real African American historical figure inspired him. Imagine if Sammie had used his music to summon Bass Reeves to the bar

After Jaime Reyes became Blue Beetle Peacemaker became his sort of mentor. A streaming series with those two on a road trip across the US would be interesting, just not with Gunn involved. He'd turn it into his version of "Harold & Kumar Go To Guantanamo Bay", so that instead of being a hero's

"The People Vs Gorilla Grodd" is, reportedly, about Jimmy Olsen investigating whether or not Grodd murdered his father. Wonder Woman could find that out in one second using her lasso of TRUTH. Just saying...

Well, yeah, but now they can do it in live-action too. I'd like to see one with Richard E. Grant that explains why the Doctor would choose to wear the face of the Great Intelligence. But, mainly, I'd like to see McGann get his chance at leading a three season series.

One cool thing Doctor Who could do is have the Doctor regenerate into previous incarnations of actors who previously played the role that are still alive so they can wrap up any lingering plot threads from their series.

How is it that in the Walking Dead Universe food that was canned before the apocalypse is still considered safe to eat over a decade later? THAT is more unbelievable than the zombies.

Did drowning in Crystal lake turn Jason into a monster, or was he always destined to become one from birth? Was his drowning a tragedy that destroyed his life, his mother's life, and the lives of everyone they killed at the campgrounds, or just as good an inciting incident as any other?

Why didn't Randor ever send the Eternian military to Etheria to get rid of the Horde? At the very least. Duncan should have regularly provided the resistance with specialized weaponry.

Pessimists will tell you that He-Man and She-Ra were glorified commercials to get children to buy toys. Yet, there's one episode of She-Ra that is devoted primarily to King Miro -- Randor's father -- traveling to Etheria to reunite with the granddaughter he thought he had lost forever when Hordak

Supergirl has a runtime of one hour and 48 minutes and it bombed Spider-Man Brand New Day has a runtime of two hours and 30 minutes and it was a huge hit. So much for the argument that movies with a runtime of 90 minutes would be more successful..

John Stewart belongs to neither the Green Lantern Corps nor to any law enforcement agency on Earth. He had neither the legal authority to apprehend Hal Jordan's killer nor the authority to let them go. What he did made him an accessory to Jordan's murder after the fact.

In the "Wormhole X-treme" episode of Stargate SG-1 there is a scene in which an executive suggests that instead of spending money to SHOW a massive alien ship the camera simply pan on an actor's face to have his expressions denote its impressiveness (in other words, TELL, by depending on the actor's

How many "real" fans who got giddy after Gunn confirmed that Jimmy Olsen was part of his plans for the DCU because they saw it as a middle finger at Snyder and his "cultists" felt betrayed when he killed Hal Jordan?

Michael Sacal @michaelsacal.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
The "real" fans who soiled themselves because Snyder killed Jimmy Olsen and Superman in "Batman v Superman" and Affleck intended to kill Dick Grayson in "Batman" would REALLY appreciate it if people stopped complaining about "Lanterns" killing Hal Jordan. Damn cultists, learn your place!

Either Lanterns was made by morons who fucked up the CGI rendering of a Guardian so it came out looking like a Weaponer, or by master storytellers in which the Weaponers manipulated John's dumb ass into stealing Hal Jordan's Green Lantern Power Ring, Sinestro's Dark Lantern Lamp, and, essentially,

THAT IS IT. John Stewart Sr. didn't need to be fearless (per se), he merely needed to possess the ability to overcome fear.

Michael Sacal @michaelsacal.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
In the source material the Power Rings doesn't ASK any prospective candidates to become Green Lanterns if they are afraid. What the rings ACTUALLY do is state in the AFFIRMATIVE that the candidate has the ability to overcome great fear.

The closest we've gotten to seeing that is this shot of Lois Lane in the first season of "Batman: Caped Crusader". Contrast that with the style used in "My Adventures with Superman".

Why is it that people who make Superman cartoons refuse to render him in the style used in the Fleisher shorts when that was developed specifically for him? Why this aversion to honoring Superman's animated roots?

evident when the art style for "Batman: TAS" radically changed in its final season in order for it to accommodate both characters existing in the same world (which continued in "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited", neither of which truly used the Fleisher style like "Batman: TAS" did).

On Mondays I'm watching "My Adventures with Superman" and "Batman: Caped Crusader". While watching the latter yesterday, it was quite obvious that, just as "Batman: The Animated Series" in the '90s, the art style is heavily influenced by Fleisher Studios' Superman shorts of the '40s.

A series based on the clone saga starts with Professor Miles Warren becoming obsessed with Gwen Stacy. I really hope the series doesn't shy away from that. Since it's live-action it doesn't have to pussyfoot around it like a cartoon would.
