Too much of higher ed is focused on gatekeeping rather than net building. We need to bring more students in and find ways to fund them. The current federal budget proposals are threatening to keep students out. The @alliancehighered.bsky.social has tools to advocate for all.

This is a visual representation of what I call The Nostalgia Spectrum. How we view history (curriculum) is intertwined with the racialized present and future we see. And complacency is a weapon white nationalism depends on and uses to continue its work.

The intentions on social justice now are intertwined with how history is considered and racialized. Now, as well, complacency is a factor the white nationalist agenda counts on.
